Flowers, Bubbly and Night Oil; We are now Official!
It was A LOT of hard work but we finally got there – on Friday 22nd September we officially launched Cherish Skincare at the beautiful, quirky Old Chemist’s in Bitterne Triangle, Southampton. Woop!
Despite a few minor catastrophes (an accident on the motorway meant that it took us well over an hour to drive the 1o minute journey to the venue; we couldn’t work the overly complicated chocolate fountain and we had to wrestle a broken coffee machine!) but it all came out in the wash (even the coffee :)) and in the end it was a beautiful, warm, friendly, and fun evening.
I doubt since it’s hey day, the Old Chemists has ever looked so beautiful, which was all thanks to the hard work of the supremely talented Hannah Brown whose glorious flower arrangements were to die for and were almost entirely locally sourced.
Personally, I really enjoyed having the opportunity to talk a little about the heart behind Cherish, our vision and ethos (find out more here) and introduce our first product for public sale, our glorious Organic Night Facial Oil. We take a holistic approach to skincare and wellbeing here at Cherish and our Organic Night Oil really epitomises that. It is a little powerhouse of fabulously nutritious oils that have been specially selected to benefit all skin types combined with the gentle, relaxing essential oils of Lavender, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang.
Our beautiful Beth did a stirling job giving people fabulous facial massages, leaving those that were lucky enough to get one feeling very relaxed and pampered (and probably ready for bed!). It also gave them the opportunity to have an exclusive preview try of our Muddy Rose Cleansing Gloop which is a lovely combination of whipped aloe vera butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, ghassoul mud and gentle raspberry seed exfoliant to soothe, cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise in one. We absolutely love how clear and calm it leaves our skin and are very excited about… (Coming soon – watch this space!).
It was also great to hear from the lovely Nicky Porter from the Amber project about the wonderful work they do providing a listening ear, emotional and spiritual support for working women. We are thrilled to be able to support the wonderful work they do by donating 10% of all proceeds from our Night Oil to Amber.
It was great to have a couple of our amazing testers at the event since we couldn’t develop our products to such a high standard without them. Thanks to all who came and made it a really special evening – it was wonderful to meet you all – I really hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
